It is fabled that you can hit 5ghz on Core i7 with air cooling

If I am able to do that I will change the name to 5Ghz Club

    So say we all

    CoolerMaster V8
    EVGA X58 3X SLI
    Antec Signature 850W

if you get 4ghz stable on aircooling then be thankfull.i can almost bet that you will get 3.8 fairly easy(read a few hours of work)

    Re: 4Ghz Processor Club

I reached 4GHz when I built my new system. I was stuck at 3.9 for ages, it's nice to pass that psychological barrier!

My 3DMark score is just freakin rediculous

I wonder what speeds we would be seeing today if technology had stuck with single-core CPU?

    Re: 4Ghz Processor Club

    I'm currently at 3.6GHz w/ a base clock of 200
I haven't yet tried to increase it further because I'm working on lowering my temps right now, but once I'm done with that I'm will make a run for 4GHz
