    My error. Sorry. My belief remains as previously stated, except that we just don't have any reference material (collection of test runs) from many AMD RAID chipset owners from which to pinpoint any other cause. Its just logical deduction at this point because we don't see slowed access time on controllers other than older nVidia's and now, by appearances, your AMD southbridge.

    The only way to go now it to break the array for single drive test, and believe me, I understand your not wanting to do that. Some me call the access time slowdown insignificant, others may not. I'm in the later group, with normal access times in the 7.x area, yours is obviously 10% or more slower than normal. It's your decision to make as wether to keep or not. Personally, I'd be at least rather suspicous in terms of reliability. But the ultimate decision is yours. Good luck, I hope it keeps on tick'n and its a chipset oddity.

    If I ever have to format Ill test them individually but im not going to worry about that now.
