I'm in Switzerland in between working in Sweden and Denmark.

Last Saturday I had the chance to fly around and over the mountains (Jungfrau) with a work colleague in a vintage Piper Cub at 13,000ft. I'll try to remember and post a few pics when I get back.

It is hard to beat the King Air series for turboprop airplanes, in production since 1964, they are currently building the BE-C90GTx which is based on the original airframe, the first stretched version was the T-tailed BE-200 and it is the BE-200GT now. They had a hot rod version of the 200 called the 300 but they stretched it and made the 350, with the 350i being the latest

The 90 has single wheel main gear and they are better suited to softer grass strips than the bigger 200 and 350. I have a friend in the Philippines who pilots a 350 in and out of grass or laterite strips all the time.

Used to be an aircraft spotter when I was a kid back in the 60's.
Always liked the elegance of this bird, Vickers VC10.Back then air travel was not for the masses, and passengers were treated to a certain level of comfort and luxury. Going through the cabin of this one, it's surprising how little has changed over the 40 + years.
It still holds the record for the fastest sub-sonic transatlantic crossing.

This one used to be seen daily around my home back in the early 60's
Not many of them built, they were converted dc4's to carry passengers and cars over the English channel for the affluent family's european vacation.
