    CPU price difference question

    Hey guys check this out.
I've been looking at buying the i7 920 processor for a new build. Newegg wants $299.00 for it and the Microcenter close to my home has had it for sale for months now for $199.00. The specs are the same but the manufacturers item numbers are different. They both have the heatsink and fan. What gives? Any ideas?

I dont know how microcenter gets these good CPU deals.

I just picked up an i5 750 for 150$ there a week ago. Good as any other place for the price of an used one.

Didn't happen to me when I went there. Either way, its a component, not a used car.
