    SSD RAID Worth it?

Do you think it is worth it to upgrade to raid 0 with multiple SSD's?

Only if you send a few to me

Sounds overkill to me, but what are you doing with your PC?

    Re: SSD RAID Worth it?

Personally, I think RAID is overrated, but it depends which flavor you are going with? RAID 1, too me, is overkill either way, just backup if that is a concern. Of course, if you are doing anything that important on the PC, then it might be worth the added benefits of a mirror.

RAID 0 is another demon, altogether, and IMO, is highly overrated. I've used it many times in the past, and only noticed differences when using large file transfers or video capture. Even then, the differences were minimal.

I suppose for bragging rights, you could do anything you want, but me personally, shelling out the extra money for 2 or more SSDs just isn't worth it.

    I have 3 OCZ 120 Vertex in RAID 0.

Was it worth in? Probably not but is exceptionally fast to load a program

$1,200.00 worth of hard drives to save a few seconds of load time is not worth it but in gaming when scenery changes it is almost imperceptable

My guess is you can get the results you want with a couple of Raptors and save a ton of money plus have more storage in your raid array. (I have never used raptors so am not sure)
    Asus M8Z77-V Deluxe
    Intel 3770K
    G-Skill 1600 16G
    Corsair H100
    EVGA 670 GTX
    2 Corsair Force 3 120G (Raid 0)
    2 x Seagate 1T 6G
    2 Samsung SyncMaster T260HD Monitors
    Thermaltake Level 10 UGK
    Silverstone Olympia OP1000 1000W
    Windows 8

Never argue with idiots, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I have 1 Intel X-25M G2 80 gig and it is incredibly fast. Why Raid?
