Pharma is a huge profitable business, you really need to ask how this happens?

You know whats all the hype about ?I have a old friend thats on that crap she is much more tolerable on it than off it.I mean all pharmaceuticals have risks and side affects and the common list for most drugs is longer than your arm.Usually the benefits outweigh the risks. Look at NSAIDS and plain aspirin and those are Over the counter and deadly for some. Look at most statin drugs for lowering bad cholesterol and their side effects . The crap I am on causes crazy painful charley horse cramps all over my body but I would rather have the cramps than another heart attack.

My doc put me on Cymbalta. Stuff put me on another planet. Long-time Superman fans know the place - the Bizarro world.

An "anti-depressant". Tell you here, it don't "anti-depress" your wank. No matter if it worked fine before. THAT's supposed to help if you feel down?

Meanwhile, side effects list not just death, but suicide. Warnings say suicide is a danger for kids, teens. I guess I'm a 54-year-old kid. I'm driving down the road and the logic of swerving into the other lane in front of that semi is CRYSTAL clear.

    Damn f-in RIGHT it's criminal.

My doc about crapped his pants when I told him about the semi. The look on his face was a pretty good "anti-depressant"!!!!
    His: Windows 7 64-bit on MSI X58 Pro-E, i7 950, Radeon 4870 1G, 300G Velociraptor + 2250G other SATA, 12G RAM; Windoze Home Server on MSI K9N SLI Platinum, A64 X2 6000, nVidia 7900, 2TB SATA storage

Hers: Vista Home 64-bit on Toshiba Core-2 Duo Laptop

The dog: he'd rather go to the off-leash park now that I won't let him pee on Intel units.

The same can be said about these 'natural cures' people believe in that in many more cases do more harm than good AND not treat what it claims to treat.

You’re absolutely right it’s always about weighing the improvement of the quality of life against the side effects. I take a handful of drugs that have a long list of warnings. Without them I would have been pushing up posies long ago.

It’s like this with them there’s always a possibility of a dangerous or deadly side effect but without them you are going to die, period. It seems to me the odds favor taking them.

of course taking care of your health with other means would just be silly, even if they work.

Some aspects of taking care of your health are outta the persons control like heredity like in my case of high cholesterol. Not always eating right does the trick, Sure if other alternatives to drugs work their not silly at all. But sadly sometime the best options are drugs with adverse side effects.

there's also the option of eating according to YOUR dietary needs from the get go. it's not that hard. and everyone has a different dietary blueprint they should go from.

but, anyway, if drugs are what you want, i guess they're what you'll get.
