What can I do with an Emplty Floppy Disk Bay

    Hi

My Win7 Dell™ OptiPlex™ 755 Small Form Factor Computer has no Floppy drive. The mother board has an empty floppy drive connector (DSKT).

Is there anything I can add to my computer to use this floppy drive connector?

    Thank You..

The SFF may toss a curveball at us, but if it has a 2.5" bay, in the traditional style of a FDD, you can buy/use something like Koutech IO-FPM220 3.5" Floppy Drive & Multi Card Reader. I do think it will require a usb header on the motherboard as well to get the full functionality out of the multi card reader.

Otherwise, if you need a FDD, I would buy a $5-$10 external USB type to read all those old floppys...

I think he wants to know if there is anything he can plug into the floppy drive connector on the motherboard. There is nothing that I am aware of that you could use that connection for other then a floppy drive.
