Wow! Temps was 23c on my Phenom II x4 945!

I finally got the core temp of my phenom lower than my previous of 26c to 23c! This is with C1E and Cool N Quiet enabled!

Used the Gigabyte overclock tool to check the temp, and there it was 23c. My setup:

    Cooler Master HAF 932 (un-modified)
1200 Watt Power Supply (A-Power ACE)
Ultra ChillTEC cooler ULT400017 (I think that's the model)
    Phenom II x4 945 125 TDP
    8 GB of 1600 MHz RAM@1.65 volts - 9t-9t-9t-24-2T - DDR3

I didn't overclock. All I did was remove the extra metal appendages that you remove to insert 5.25" devices from the Tower. Voila! Inside case temp is 24c, and CPU core temp is 23c! Room temp 27c!

    Ridiculous!

Download HW Monitor and run Prime95 on that PC and then see if the temps go up...

It might be that low because the motherboard might be downclocking the CPU...

Ran Prime95 on all four cores with the blend torture test. Temp never goes above 43c. Consumed about 1.5 GB x 4 of memory. The CPU cooler activates at around that temp.

Well since you are using a thermoelectric cooler I would expect some pretty low temps like that. I run my X4 945 at 3.6Ghz and I get somewhere in the high 40s load, but in the low 30s for idle. (Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme Heatsink /w 120mm SilenX fan)

Pretty nice results though...you should start overclocking!

Yes when enabled CNQ then it stay cooler - same as my own as it much lower, the CPU speed between 1.7Ghz to 3.4Ghz depend on software,etc..
