Question 4 monitors on 1 computer?

Ok, so here's the deal. I upgraded my 17" dual screen monitors to dual 24" U2410 Ultrasharps, hooked up to a Radeon 5770. I also have my HDTV plugged into it, so the Eyefinity feature is being fully used up, with one monitor running Display port.

I had a friend recommend that I hookup the old 17" monitors for when I do audio and film work, but I've never gone 4 screens before. My motherboard has multiple PCI-E slots unused, and from what I'm gathering, all I need is another video card that uses the same drivers as my current card?

I've never done this, and would be eager to know exactly what needs to be done to make 4 monitors work in the 2D space, if both can be PCI-E, both need to be Radeons, and have to be using the same drivers. Is this possible at all?

    Advice would be great.

If both cards use the same drivers you are set to go.

After you install the card just right click on a your main screen then your ATI control panel and set the 4th screen up just like you did the 3 screens,

There is no magic to it and is vey easy to do.

I have had 2 work computers running with 4 monitors for years.

Just remember, you can not use all four screen if you enable Crossfire.

Thanks for the reply. So if I'm running a Radeon 5770, would I be able to get away with a Radeon 5450, since it's still a 5000 series card?

By the way, the setup would be like this:

    Radeon 5770 - Dual 24" Monitors / 1080p HDTV
    Radeon 5450 - Dual 17" Monitors

I thought Windows 7 actually allowed you to install multiple graphics drivers now, so you could even get away with using a NVIDIA card with the 5770 or something. (not sure though)
