    Re: AMD laptop?

Here is a list of all the Turion II laptops that Tochiba make. Question is how can I find out which ones either run with native XP drivers or have XP drivers available and which, if any, simply will not work with XP.

Also which ones are available in the UK?

    Re: AMD laptop?

This is getting a little confusing, perhaps someone could confirm my understanding of this. I think what I am looking for is a Caspian / Tigris platform Turion II Ultra which would be 45nm wouldn't it?

So am I correct in assuming that if I look for something with a Turion II M620, that will ensure that I am looking at the new lower power 45nm chips?

Is an HP DV6-2113SA a good example of this or is that one of the older more power hungary chips?

    Thanks,
    Nick

OK forget the DV6, apparently that can't be made to work with XP Pro. However HP do make the:
HP ProBook 6545b Notebook PC (NN245ET)

Which according to their website can be supplied with XP Pro. Now if only HP would answer their phone I could ask them how to get one of these supplied with XP or better than that vanilla with just the XP drivers supplied.
