$1400 gaming PC

Hi, I'm new here. I'm building a gaming rig somewhere in between mid and high end. It will be primary used for gaming. I plan to spend up to $1400. Here are the specs:

Motherboard: Asrock P55 Deluxe3
CPU: Intel i7 860
GPU: Sapphire HD 5850
RAM: 2x Kingston DDR3 2GB 1333MHz
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB
PSU: Corsair TX 850W
Case: CoolerMaster CM 690
Monitor: LG W2361V-PF, 23", 1920x1080
DVD burner: Sony Optiarc AD 7241S

I plan to upgrade to Crossfire in the future with another 500GB HDD and a blu-ray drive.

I would like to hear your thoughts about his build. What would you change? Do you have any good/bad experience with any parts?

I would add a gaming Keyboard and mouse, 5.1 speakers or a 5.1 Headset, and a mic.

Thanks for the reply. I'll buy cheap keyboard, mouse and headset and keep current speakers. I'll upgrade in the future with 2.1 speakers and better keyboard/mouse/headset if I'll need one. I don't need 5.1.

All solid choices, although I've no personal experience with Asrock. If you know Asrock by reviews and know someone WITH an Asrock board its likely a good choice. But why not Gigabyte or Asus?

First reason for Asrock is lower price.

My first choice for motherboard was Gigabyte P55A-UD4, but then I read that Asrock went up in quality in recent years. I've heard some bad and some good experiences with Asrock (same with Gigabyte). Asus is just too expensive.

Also, I was looking for board with USB 3.0 and SATA3 support and with proper crossfire support.

If you're in Canada, you guys always get screwed. It's a pain to try and help friends from the big C to pick out parts within a certain budget.

Hehe, I'm not. I'm from Croatia(?). I just converted prices into $.

Silverstone PSUs are not available in a lot of stores here, hence the bigger price. If other stores would get them prices would be as you suggested. Anyway, thanks for help.

What are you using to price out the system? A local brick and mortar store? You can do overland shipping from a lot of places in Europe, if you can deal with the language barriers.

I use Croatian online store, but I have approximated to newegg prices. It doesn't matter whether I order from Croatia or abroad.

Also, I'm going with HX750 PSU. I will not have any use of 850W and HX750 makes less noise, has high efficiency and is modular.
