Halo Reach beta is out

I played it for an hour or so last night and it was quite fun. You can access it if you have ODST.

I have a few impressions of the game so far.

SWAT mode is a lot of fun. It's basically deathmatch with the scoped rifles and it's takes less hits to kill someone.

I forget what it's called, but there's another sort of capture the flag mode where random flags spawn around the map and you have to place them in your base and guard them until their timer runs down (then you collect them). I don't know if these was in previous Halos , but it's a lot of fun

The assault rifle is trash. I can't count the number of times I've emptied most of a clip into someone and then meleed them only to have them not die and kill me. It sucks that you have to start out with it.

The abilities are kind of cool. There's dash, cloak, jetpack and some type of shield. The shield ability seems overpowered, though. Having the cloak is particularly useful when you have a sniper rifle.

I don't know if there will be dual wielding or not. I don't know why there wouldn't be, but it's not in the beta right now.

I love halo D= I just don't get internet during the week. Gonna be downloading the beta tonight, a whole weekend of halo ;D Haven't had that in a while. I can't wait. Watching all those streams got me excited.

Got it and played it with 3 friends in the same room. It was fun and definitely a step up from halo 3, but it still had that feel where you are a lemming running around.
