    ebay and paypal - expensive

    i was going to sell something there,,,for $40 ....after the ebay insertion fee. the final value fee, and paypal fee..its comes to 13% total, and thats not counting shipping...i quess the final vaule fee is what disturbs me.....make all this money on just nothing more than furnishing a web site.....sort of like robbery.....should be more like 5% total.

    triumph by convincing its opponents and making them
    see the light,
    but rather because its opponents eventually die"
    Arthur Shopenhauer: "Every truth passes through three stages before it is recognized.
    First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is opposed. Third, it is regarded as self evident."
    Martin Niemöller:
    "When the Nazis came for the communists,
    I remained silent;I was not a communist.
    When they locked up the social democrats,I remained silent;
    I was not a social democrat.When they came for the trade unionists,I did not speak out;
    I was not a trade unionist.When they came for the Jews,
    I remained silent;I wasn't a Jew.When they came for me,
    there was no one left to speak out."

    its not robbery, millions of people do it every day and agree to the terms. you really make out with volume, not just a one timer

    It is robbery. I sold something on EBay after not selling for a while and I was shocked at the EBay bill. I don’t know when they started but they didn’t always charge these outrageous fees. PayPal still seems to be fair IMO.

    Re: ebay and paypal - expensive

    They have had a lot of recent changes on price structuring for sellers and it is more expensive now.

    I guess some of it goes to cover some of the losses they eat from scammers because buyer purchases are all covered if the seller is a deadbeat.

    There was one seller that was selling DDR2 kits very cheap, must have sold near a thousand kits, hardly anybody got their kits and Ebay refunded all the buyers
