Re: Old Timer GA-7VAX with ATHLON XP-M Barton

I pushed the vCore up 10% to 1.936V. It didn't give me a speck more Core Speed; still 2337MHz. The CPU Temp rose 10 degrees centigrade to 39 (102 F). The System Temp is 38 C. I may as well go back down with the vCore and be happy with the OC results I have?

Is it worth trying x17 or x18 ?

Is there a program that gives vitals (temps etc) without being in the bios?

I ran prime95 for a short while and it says:
FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.4974365234, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.text file.
Torture test completed 0 tests in 1 minutes - 1 errors, 0 warnings.
    Worker stopped

Maybe I should run memtest86 or something. What do you think I should do about the unstable results?

Should I try a lesser multiplier? Should I raise the vCore 5%?

prime 95 seems to have crash problems on the project unit. I am running OCCT on it. Because of the FATAL ERROR I raised the vCore by 5%. So far it has been testing it for 90 minutes with no instability showing. I will run it all night and see. It looks promising at present.

    i had a feeling 1.60v wouldn't be enough to run 2300mhz.

as for trying to raise the multi. 14.5 would be my next move if i was curious.

ud:Earlier, when I tried the higher multipliers, I hadn't raised the vCore yet, so here's hoping the higher/stable vCore will allow the higher multipliers now? It is just a hunch. I will have to wait though. I am on another light for 7 weeks; the project unit isn't here.

    Thanks

Back then I allready made an Excel sheet with my settings and which speeds my pc booted. I still have some data. In the sheet were my settings from back then. Maybe you can do something with it. I must add that I had a watercooled system. My maximum speed (barely booting) was 3006MHz, it is not noted in this Excel sheet.

    Link to Excel sheet

    Edit:
    I found some more: 1, 2. I didn't even know I still had this.
