GA-945GM-S2 - Can I run an Intel E7300

Hi,
My son purchased a GA-945GM-S2 MB and realised too late that it wouldn't run his Intel E7300 cpu. He has since purchased a new AMD board and I now have the GA-945GM and his old E7300 cpu...

Are there any download updates out there that will allow me to run this CPU on my board???

Well, this should have been posted in the Intel section, but to answer your question, it appears that it simply will not work. There are two revisions of this board (the 1.0 and 3.x revision), and neither one lists support for the E7300. If support isn't there, then there's likely nothing you can do to make it work. Sorry.

Here is a list of all of the cpus that will run on that board and what bios version each requires. You'll need to check which board revision you have to be completely accurate though.
