Such a shame to see a once great title become the current longest running gamer joke. At this point I'm firmly in the "why should I even care?" camp. If it's a good game and actually finished terrific.. we could always use a few more. But the annual announcement of this title's completion is as predictable as summer and winter...

#1 - Duke Nukem 3D was a great shooter when it came out.
#2 - Its sequel, Duke Nukem Forever has been delayed for 12 years.

Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it. Although Gearbox certainly has development props and probably can get it done. At this point, even if the finished game is "very good", it will still be a mild disappointment.

Ironically, auto racing fans will know "DNF" is short for "Did Not Finish". Sort of hilarious.
