Thumbs up Thumb up for WD

One of my WD Blue 500GB died last week and after checking their website, I found out there was still one month warranty left with this unit. So I RMA'ed the drive last Wednesday.

Surprisingly the whole process was so quick that I have already received my replacement today. On top of that WD even upgraded my drive to a Black 500GB.

This is A+++ class warranty service.

This is the second thread in a month that had good things to say about WD's RMA policies.

I'm glad my last drive I just purchased is a WD.

The size upgrade is SOP, if they're out of the size drive you had they'll send the next bigger with equivalent specs.

I do PC support, we've been seeing this for a while with Dell, we'll order an 80 GB HDD under warranty and get a 160.

Sadly, I had a WD Passport drive fail, they sent me a Passport Elite to replace it and I'm not convinced it's better than what I had.
