How to disable password request in Win7

I got my wife a new laptop for Christmas it has windows7.

How can I get rid of the password request?
    I did this:

Go into the Start Menu > Run command and type control userpasswords2

This brings up the Win2000 style user accounts manager...

Un-check the box that says "Users must enter a name and password to use this computer". It will give you an option to select a user to automatically log in as. If the user has no password, leave the passoword field blank.

It still requests a password, and Windows continues to frustrate me with simple tasks always being a major PITA.

    TIA

    Update
Ok I didn't realize that I did get rid of password request for Shutdown-Restart NOT for sleep mode.

I don't use a lap top forgot when you close the lid it is in Sleep.

So I need to figure out how to delete the sleep mode password request.

Go to power options and select "choose what the power buttons do" your sleep and wake-up options are there. (Windows 7 Professional)

hrm, i use sleep mode all the time on my HTPC and i have no issues. Does the account have a password or no? If not, make one and then go back and do the userpasswords2 thing again. I used that exact method and never get a pword request unless i'm going in via remote desktop

    Trust me, I do science
