What happened to all the mb sub forums ?

Please forgive me, but I used to use these sub forums for
help. I'm looking for the Biostar forum.

    Thank you for any info.

They were all consolidated into the main motherboard forum. So all the threads are still here. The stickies have also been merged into a 'Master Sticky'.

So if you have any questions, by all means, please post it here.

Ohh. Well I can understand that. I was trying to get info on
a BIOSTAR MCP6P. I've ordered one for a customer and was
    looking for any issues.

Thanks for the heads up and reply.

The search function works pretty well, so you can search by board.

Hmm, I don't think I'd call that an improvement.

I agree, the layout us to be a heck of alot better on that. I am sure it takes up the same amount of room on the forum server either way

Wow, has this place gone downhill. The members (the few left anyway) don't like the new forum format but the answer from "management" is some cryptic comment on how the world isn't working right? Really? What does this have to do with screwing up the mobo forums again?

Re: What happened to all the mb sub forums ?

I'm not "management". I would have had intel and AMD sub forums as well) The fact is very few people were using the MB individual forums. Most requests for motherboard help ended up on the cpu forum. I'd recommend they try the motherboard forum for specifics, but there was no help there. The AMD forums used to be dynamic when I joined but have since died as tech moved on. ie the world changes, get used to it.

The fact is most motherboard problems are generic. With one forum you get a lot of people involved instead of a dead forum.

I've built 3 systems with MCP6P-M2+ boards over the past few months (one my own HTPC system, the other 2 for relatives) and find that it's a good little board. Not using them for high end gaming (but I did just put a HD6850 card in my HTPC and it'll play games on higher graphic settings fine), but I haven't had any issues with the boards.

I have not used the on-board graphics (other than to initially test the board) on them, they have all had video cards installed. Used various CPUs in them (X2-240 Regor 2.8Ghz, X-II 7850BE Kuma 2.8Ghz and a Sempron X2-2200), 2-4Gb ram (all GSkill DDR2-800), both nVidia and ATI video cards, WD and Samsung SATA HDDs.

Bought all 3 through newegg as combo deals with the CPU. For $70-$75 for a mobo and dual core CPU not bad deals.
