I have been playing it for quite a while now, about 6 months. It's fun, addictive and I do like the many modifications with the tank's.

Its fun and addictive, but its extremely masochistic. The matchmaking system constantly makes you the smallest tank of a battle so you are incentivized to grind to the top.

Also, russian tanks are OP. Just sayin...

I'm just an old Phart and I don't know much about gaming terminology.

Here's how World of Tanks works from my perspective:

You logon to the server, and you are sent to your garage where your tanks are maintained. You select a tank (you start with 3 light tanks), click on 'Battle' and then you go into a que where teams are selected by the AI, usually about 15 tanks on each team (tanks of all types, light medium heavy, etc.). The game is played on a large map of either urban or rural landscape. The object is to kill all other enemy tanks or capture their flag/camp before they capture yours. Each team starts the game by their own flag/camp. Battle are timed and last about 15 minutes max. After each battle you earn experience points based upon your performance. Once you accumulate enough points you can research new technologies for your tank for upgrades and ultimately purchase new and better tanks.

It's a fun game with nice graphics. It runs about 50-60 FPS on my PC. The v7.0 download is 2.51 GB.

I like playing but i wish I could be on a platoon or something. I've been doing the random battle thing, but its annoying when your on a loosing team because everyone does there own thing.

Time is something this game is all about. Soooooo much grinding.

After spending some time with the game I'm gonna have to agree. 95% of the time your playing with tanks above your level or people who paid for tanks. The only way to get anywhere is to GRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIND away for hours. The matches are 50/50 as sometimes people work the together and sometimes people are morons and the team is wiped quickly.

If anyone plays this game you can reach me on their same username. I'm still grinding away I've found best thing to do is keep tier 5 tanks they are the most useful for money making for higher tiers.
