"For Hire"- Joe Mantegna, Rob Lowe and a few lesser known but recognizable actors/actress star in a well acted tale of a young couple struggling financially until Rob Lowe's character is given a choice to commit a murder for 50k. To top things off his fiancee is pregnant with his kid. A few plot twists, decent character development eventually pulls you into the script.

I'd recommend it if you are searching Netflix for something you haven't already seen.

3.75 stars out of 5, imo.

watched the first half of ANH from the star wars blu-ray collection last night. looks fantastic. Still wish i could punch Lucas in the man-bits for adding that crummy 1997 CGI... and lets not even discuss the prequel trilogy

Watching Rugby tonight instead of a movie. It's France vs. New Zealand.

watched Tron Legacy on BD yesterday. Kind of weird, but cool. the visuals were impressive, aside from the Jeff Bridges digital clone. It looked good, but the lip sync was enough to put it firmly into the uncanny valley. story was a bit thin, but olivia wilde is enough to justify watching this one

The JERICHO tv series I added to my queue....not sure how I missed this on cable tv.

But 3 episodes in its looking great (its in HD, btw)..........A small town is faced with an apocalyptic crisis as many major cities in the US have been hit with bombs of some sort (so far its unknown if they were hydrogen or atomic bombs). Its interesting and seems fairly realistic (if it had happened).

All the acting is good with the exception of the towns mayor (played by Gerald McRainey)....His character is WAY OVER the top and almost laughable.
I don't see any great presidential candidate on the political landscape.

Bush/ Cheney put us in a depression......

Obama amplified it.....bail out bankers, so CEO's can get billion dollar bonuses

all these big businesses the GOP support sell us out and give American jobs to 3rd world countries (they pretend its about taxes, its all about cheap labor)

This show was on one of the major networks in 2005 and 06, I believe. It was a pretty decent series, kind of a shame it got cancelled. Actually twice, it was cancelled after first season, but they brought it back due to fan protest. Lasted another year.

My wife followed Jericho like a religion, lol.

At the time when it was on I was working nights so I missed it, so far its really good. Seems better then the crap on the networks these days.
