I don't know much about this Linux business. I tried Ubuntu a few
years back, but never got it really figured out. I was reading that
Zorin is a little more beginner friendly. Has anyone tried it ? >

If you want beginner friendly try Mepis 8.5.03 based on Debian. There is a newer Alpha release out (10.9.82) but it is an Alpha and for testing, not beginners. There is a forum for Mepis ( http://forum.mepiscommunity.org/index.php ). Great people and very helpful to newbies. There is a sub forum just for newbies under the "General" heading. Not like some forums where all newbies get is RTFM.
P.S. Zorin is based on Ubuntu![]()

Zorin is a great idea it is just too buggy.
I was using Zorin at first but it had a glitch when setting encryption and would not complete install and then it seemed to have glitch video drivers out of the box, where I had to play a storbe light like game of click here and there to update the amd graphics driver so it would work, too annoying, I just use Linux Mint which is very n00b friendly and works out of the box.
I have used Zorin older stable release. I love it and it's my current choice for anyone using xp today. I make it look like xp and I never had a complaint about there system yet.
I wanted to try it for my self and I could even get it started it kept rebooting . What were they thinking to release this ? And I must stop listening to review sites as they seem not real.
