    eVGA P55v memory problem... maybe?

    i upgraded my pc some and got the p55v and got 3 sticks of 2gb memory from corsair i was told after that i might not be able to use 3 sticks only options r 1,2, or 4 is this true?

    yep , the p55 chipset only supports 2 or 4 sticks of ram . Sounds like you bought a trichannel kit for a x58 chipset . Now it should still work but you can only use 2 sticks . Guess you will have a spare stick if one ever goes bad.

    ok now ive been looking this up for the past few days and from what i can tell it actually will work it just wont work in dual channel mode correct or will it not work at all ur saying?

    it "should" run fine as single channel with 3 sticks.
