Itís embarrassing the problem was a bit simple! Out of the 5 bars of wireless my pc was only get 2 and my laptop was getting 3, I didnít think the speed would depend so much, so I turned my pc around and pointed the antenna to the router and got three bars and then it went straight to 18 meg! at one point I cut up a coke can and stuck it on the antenna to try and get more signal! Bad times!

thats still pretty low signal strength... how far is your router?

might want to get a seperate antennae that you can mount elsewhere.
    maybe something like this

    Thanks for replying back.

And don't worry, even the best of us miss the simplest things at times. That's why we talk to each other for ideas.
