Screen tearing even with Vsync on?

I just got a new LCD monitor. Always used CRTs till now and Im a bit confused.

The quality is pretty good especially at 1080 rez. My only issue is with games, you see im getting slight screen tears in games even with vsync on. FRAPS is running and I can assure fps is locked at 60.
Why am I getting screen tearing? This didnt happen with my CRT monitor.
Do LCDs need some sort of patch or workaround for gaming?

Monitor is a Samsung BX2235. 2ms response time (or so it claims)
Running 1920x1080 rez with 60 hz refresh rate.

See full system specs above to right

I would really like to resolve this so I can get into some gaming, havent done so in months, and screen tearing is very annoying.

Meh, looks like a bug with Morphological AA. Turned it off and no more screen tears
