I must be missing something. Those are pretty steep requirements for a game. I'm sure it'll be getting its due praise for pushing hardware.

I'm sure it'll push my system to its limits and I'll be turning some stuff down to have decent framerates.

Well yeah. Start working on the shadows a bit and up the resolution on the textures and toss in a few things from Crysis that weren't taken to xbox and you've got a game that'll knock most systems down.

I read some horrible reviews so far

- account creation issues (same as the nightmare I went thru in Crysis Warhead)
- Auto Aim option <<<FAIL
- Step backward in Graphics department

The account creation issue just forced me to uninstall the demo. There's no point having ~2gb(uncompressed) of junk on my pc.

Just spent an hour playing. Here is my initial review:

Tons of Browser issues:
No North American servers
Filters not working right
If server lists open slots....still full (great thx)
9/10 servers full (even if listed as slots open)
Did I say no North American servers? <<<for real? I get about 3, and then cant get in, full. Well perhaps don't give me Filter for "not listing full servers?"

Just awful

I wont get into disabling my Gampad so that it doesn't vibrate on my desk or fact that there is Auto Aim....

So into the game...
No clue what Gamer, Advanced or Hardcore is. None of them made a real difference (in frame rate or graphics). I realise Gamer is lowest, Advanced is med and Hardcore is High but WHY do they have to make it so difficult? Is this Starbucks of gaming with these names? Also why isn't there Graphics settings?

Vsync on/off didn't have much effect on graphics of framerates as well.

Graphics are poor (by crysis standards), on par with MW2 or something. Certainly no Crysis topper or "new standard in graphics". Just average.

Blur is KILLING me right now, after about 5 min I got a headache. My eyes are actually hurting me right now. This Blur is just horrible.

You know, I was thinking. MOH was a such a HUGE let down. Just trying to figure out if Crysis 2 tops that now.

Map design is poor. It's just all over the place. Bunch of corners/nukes to hide in......levels/hallways everywhere. Just didn't feel like they took their time designing the maps? They are also small....just not a fan of neither of them.

Crashsite = get to the site to find bunch of invisible dudes hiding around corners.

PS. Surprisingly enough I had no problems creating a user. Of course it wouldn't let me use my current EA/Gamespy account so I just created new one, worked fine.

Overall, I'm very disappointed. My biggest complaint is by far the blur...just horrible on my eyes. Headache material.

Just a little news for you folks. It has been confirmed that Crysis 2 will be shipping on the PC platform as a DX9 game. DX11 will be added in a patch at a later time. Seriously Crytek??? Its friggin 2011...at least give us DX10 graphics.

Of course, I knew the demo was going to be horrible when my first experience with the game was "Press Start". >sigh<

"Press Start"? I hope you are kidding. Aww what a let down. Oh well I guess I just have to look forward to BF3 then.

I probably wont be able to play the demo but it sounds like I am not missing much.
