Re: Unions Federal, State & whats left of the private sector...

^^^ It's amazing how uneducated the supposed educators are in regard to matters that impact them directly. I'd be willing to wager the folks that post in this thread know a darn sight more about what went on in their state than they do. I think the mindset you describe is pretty widespread among those who have never ventured outside academia. Hive mentality beat into their skulls since they were students themselves and perpetuated by the unions from day 1 they took their respective jobs. The unions are self serving... period. And these supposed smart people cannot see the trees through the woods...

    Nother good read here:

    Sellout to unions staggers economy

"The most dangerous myth is the demagoguery that business can be made to pay a larger share, thus relieving the individual. Politicians preaching this are either deliberately dishonest, or economically illiterate, and either one should scare us...
Only people pay taxes, and people pay as consumers every tax that is assessed against a business."

Just thought I'd let everybody here know that I have been appointed a union Steward at my work so just PM me about how unions are planning to take over the world and are gonna raise minimum wage to $75/hr

As another election draws near; the G.O.P. are yet again filled with a stupid confidence that the they will win the White House. What they don't realize about people like Trump, Carson, and Cruz is that their rhetoric only resonates within an echo chamber, but not the American people. They live in an illusion of falsehood and distorted truth and only seek information and opinions that confirm these beliefs and instantly reject anything that contradicts them because only their opinions matter. Their notion of freedom is freedom for themselves and those alike to them, but not the rest of the country which has changed.
These are the reasons why the G.O.P is set to lose in 2016. And when that happens, rest assured that they will have myriad of conspiracy theories blaming everyone and everything from the liberal media, to Oprah, to welfare moms, and pretty much everyone but their own disgusting selves.

Does that mean you get a rented Cadillac and you get to sit around drinking coffee and eating doughnuts all day?

All of the bitching and whining you’re going to hear is going to make you feel like a combination of Dear Abby and Mother Teresa…

Yeah, Justin needs a beer belly, a five o'clock shadow, a smelly old office chair to sit on and a name like "Frank" or "Al" and he'll be the perfect shop stewart.

Those are the 259 school districts in Wisconsin that have lowered their tax levy on their homeowners because of the reforms implemented by Governor Scott Walker. By making public employees in this state pitch modest amounts for their health care and pension, 259 school districts were able to lower their taxes. The only two school districts with teacher layoffs were Milwaukee and Racine, which are grandfathered into lavish union contracts.

TLR friends, the recall of Scott Walker started last week, and the union thugs are going around the state getting every name they can on a recall petition.

It baffles me that a governor who turned a $3.8 billion biannual budget deficit into a projected $130 million budget surplus is being recalled. In this day in age, what government bodies are reporting budget surpluses? And that's with a two-year freeze on property taxes for local homeowners. That's repaying the money that the previous Democratic governor borrowed from Minnesota. That's repaying the money that the previous Democratic governor raided from the Wisconsin Medical Malpractice Victims Compensation Fund.

New pro-Walker TV commercial hitting the airwaves that's highlighting the successes of Governor Walker's agenda.

    More classy union thug behavior.

This is a signed affidavit that was filed in the Waukesha County District Court.

I guess a tiger never changes its strips. These pro-union goons have been harassing people who refuse to sign the recall petition all over the state. My step-sister goes to UW-Stevens Point in northern Wisconsin. All the recall petitioners have been hitting the college campuses hard as they try to get the low hanging fruit (liberal college students). My sister politely declined to sign the recall petition and was called a "fat rich bitch".

Also lots of reports on local talk radio about people with Walker bumper stickers getting their tail lights smashed out, people with Walker yard signs getting their houses egged. This is all about the union dues - don't go after greedy big labor's money, I guess.

I don't know if anybody is reading my updates about what's going on here in Wisconsin but I'm going to keep providing them. The battle to reign in the excessive union greed is still raging here and labor hacks are all over the state.

Another one to file under "irony". Teacher against recall efforts receives threats Yeah, that whole "liberal tolerance" thingy seems to have such rigidly defined boundaries and woe to anyone crossing the line. As fair disclosure, as far as I know at this moment it's simply her word regarding the response she's received.

Re: Unions Federal, State & whats left of the private sector...

A day after the WI Dem party submitted 1 million signatures in the Walker recall (they needed 500k, 25% of the votes cast in the last gov election - I suspect a lot of fraud. Stories are rampant about kids signing and teachers signing 15 times), the first Democrat has stepped up the plate.

Meet Kathleen Falk, the former district attorney of Dane County, the uber-liberal county where the state capitol is Madison is located. I believe the union goons at WEAC had voiced their preference for Falk previously.

She ran for the Democratic nomination for the governor's race in 2002 and lost. She ran for state attorney general in 2006 and lost. I don't know how you lose two state-wide races, one of them within your own party, and come back and win this time. Plus, she's a far-lefty in a mineral sense, kind of like otoc or Rachel Maddow.

I swear, all these guerrilla tactics by lefty politicians regarding unions are straight out of Saul Alinsky and they're all coming from direct orders from the AFL-CIO.

I saw that the AFL-CIO is threatening a protest/boycott of the Super Bowl in Indy if Indiana keeps pursuing the right to work stuff.
