    Advice please.

I am in the middle of my first new build ever. I was about to buy my video cards but wanted to know if I should go with 2 ASUS ENGTX560 TI DCII/2DI/1GD5 GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

or just 1 ASUS ENGTX580 DCII/2DIS/1536MD5 GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 1536MB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

I am really new at this, so if you could tell me why you feel the way you do and not just "Go for that one!" please. I am eager to learn. Thank in advance.

If you have the money to get the 580 then why not? Down the road, you run into some more cash and the price on it goes down and you grab another one to SLI it.

    Spoiler!

I would just get the one 580, but I'm biased on this issue and don't know much about the new cards.

    Re: Advice please.

Does your motherboard support tri-sli? as in 3 PCI Express slots? If so the 2x560 might be a good option. Although one card is nice since some stuff still doesnt support sli/crossfire properly. I saw a review comparing this very idea recently. Ill try and dig it up for you later.
