Re: Obama administration foreign policy... or lack thereof.

    John Kerry, ultimate doofus.

An excerpt from the Times of Israel:

Despite the tendency to criticize US Secretary of State John Kerry’s efforts, credit should be given where credit is due. Over the weekend, Kerry did manage to facilitate something in the Middle East: unparalleled unanimity.

Israel, the Palestinian Authority, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan were all in agreement that Kerry’s efforts were undermining the attempt to bring about a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas as quickly as possible. Moreover, Kerry’s framework and the ideas he presented led to an extraordinary phone call taking place between a senior Palestinian Authority official and an Israeli counterpart, during which the two mocked the senior diplomat’s naivete and his failure to understand the regional reality.

Israel's Netanyahu warns U.S.: Never 'second guess me again' on Hamas

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu didn't mince words in a phone call with U.S. Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro on Friday.

Netanyahu reportedly warned Shapiro that President Barack Obama and his administration was "not to ever second-guess me again," according to sources that spoke on condition of anonymity with The Associated Press.
The phone call came hours after a proposed ceasefire in Gaza quickly crumbled, with one Israeli soldier reportedly taken hostage and two more killed during an attack. While the Obama administration did not blame the abduction on Hamas, officials did say they hold the group responsible for events occurring in the Gaza Strip. Netanyahu told Shapiro he "expected" the U.S., along with the U.N. and other international groups, to help him moving forward with a "strong and swift response," because he knows best how to handle Hamas.

Re: Obama administration foreign policy... or lack thereof.

Russia is going to start running long range bomber flights in the Gulf of Mexico. Obama responded that this is not an act of aggression by Putin, but all part of our President's plan to guard our oil interests in the Gulf. Always thinking ahead our Dear Leader is! Why use Russian Air Force to do it? "Well, we already use the Russians to get into space now, why NOT use them to protect American interests as well", the President was quoted as saying.

Ok, ok, those last few sentences I made up, I admit it. I had to laugh at our "trusted" news outlets telling us how terrible it is for Russia to have re-initiated the Sputnik radio network and how bad it was for the network to just endlessly repeat whatever pro-Putin propaganda they were told to. I mean, it's not like that would EVER happen here would it! Even better is how our not propaganda like at all news outlets have already started reporting how Russia having bombers flying around the Gulf of Mexico is no big deal 'cause we have planes near Russia too!

It's not as though the United States doesn't have its own warplanes in places like Japan and Turkey, not to mention NATO air operations assisting Albania, Slovenia and Baltic nations. And Mankoff, who previously served as a U.S. State Department adviser on U.S.-Russia relations, notes that the U.S. military also sometimes flies not far from Russia -- also to send a message, as well as to test things like response times.

So everything is fine you see. This is all part of Dear Leader's brilliant and too hard for stupid voters to understand foreign policy!

So I posted this yesterday and it still shows Scooter's post from August as being the newest post in this thread. I blame Bush and Obama for this!
