    browsers

What is it with todays browsers? I just installed firefox 4, what junk. It's slow, it has this ugly orange firefox thing in the corner, and has the biggest annoyance like chrome and IE9 of not having a proper status bar!!!! I work with a web based program that has important system info in the right corner, but guess what, now every browser blocks that corner because they removed the status bar!

I think I'll be sticking with Firefox 3 until someone comes up with add-ons to bring back the simple needed items.

You can get rid of the "ugly orange firefox thing" by turning on the menu bar.

I didn't like Firefox 4 at first, but I am getting use to it. I am OK with it now

I've used Chrome every day as the last year or so. There was some Firefox update that had a memory leak or something that made the browser almost unusable. Been rocking Chrome ever since.

Biggest problem (annoyance) so far is that Open Link In New Tab is now at top of list instead of 2nd as it was previously. Will get used to it. Also to get same shutdown option with tabs open you have to change the default setting http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/...for-firefox-4/

Thinking about installing it. Just installed 3.6.16 and was happy with it. Had problems with 3.6.15 with my XP machine and Flash videos though.

    Spoiler!

I hate that look even more. I found an add-on that turns it into the mozilla logo and transparent background, and that works great.

is it just me, or does firefox eat up more memory with every update? Yes, I have 4 GB of ram... but i don't like seeing firefox eat up over 200 MB of RAM with 6 tabs...

Yep. Thats right. In time we'll have to upgrade RAM just to browse the web.
