Hi,
I'm against overclocking my CPU (core i5 750) coz I need it for so many years. Also I'm using the stock fan and my country is hot most of the year bla bla bla. I used to disable the Intel Turbo boost technology in the BIOS but nowadays, I thought of enabling it and enjoy the extra boost on high demand times only which sounds very attractive for me since I don't wanna overclock all the time (saving heat, processor, and energy).
My question is: Why I do notice that the PC is always overclocked (by checking cpu-z) even if I'm not doing anything (Idle state). For example, it's around 3100 MHz (Default is: 2600) even if I'm NOT doing anything at all on the PC. I'm surprised because I thought that the extra speed of the CPU is only when needed and not all the time.
