I cancelled my pre-order. Seems the game is bankrupt of creativity and rather bland. Not very pleasing environment doesn't help. Too many games with violence. I can sense it's going to get some people raging about it. Not worth the price as it is now. Real life, seems to be better. lol Can't complain about graphics there. Not like some puny computer can match it.

Daikatana 2? Ouch! I watched a couple of game play videos yesterday on it and it looked like such a copy of Borderlands it wasn't even funny. Not that I'd actually mind a decent copy of Borderlands. I was planning on picking this one up after reading the reviews.

Well, PC Gamer gave Rage a score of 84. Nowhere near Daikatana territory, but then I've learned to take reviews on pc games anymore with a grain of salt. I think magazines like PC Gamer have gotten so desperate for decent pc games, they've lowered their standards. sometimes by a lot. I noticed for instance that already the comments about the article seem to revolve around the fact that Rage has been heavily dumbed down graphically for consoles. Ie, make it run smoothly for the ancient XBox, then just make it run on a pc. Did I mention I hate consoles for what they've done to gaming?

What bit I have played of it seems kind of mediocre, but the graphical issues aren't as bad as most are reporting. I still think it is worth a look.
