    laptop ordering from Newegg

Don't know if this is the right forum for this but I was wondering has anyone bought a laptop from newegg before. Do they just slap a shipping label on the box and send it on it's way or put it in a bigger box with packing peanuts before shipping. Thanks.

    Re: laptop ordering from Newegg

I ordered a Dell laptop for the Honey about 2 months ago and it came in a bigger box with packing paper, not peanuts. But most of the time when buying straight from the manufacturer it comes in the same box with just the label on it, so I don't think newegg would be obligated to do it!

The box the manufacturer packs the laptop in is certified for shipping laptops so to newegg or any other reseller would be an aded cost to repack.

I guess you could call in your order and request a bigger box with packing material, but the cost for the extra weight and packing supplies would be passed down to you!
