    Re: Official Steam sale thread

Just bought Assassin's Creed on Steam. Normally $20, marked down to $13.

I had Assassin's Creed 1 on Xbox 360, but AC2 on PC. Now I have both on Steam.

    Edit:

Just bought TrackMania United because it's on sale too and I have a friend who raves about that game. Crap, I'm an addict. Somebody take my credit card!

same. 146 titles and counting. I've played probably 80-90 of them at all (as in fired it up at least once) and only 20-30 of which have more than an hour in... and thats generally not because they're not good games!

Lots of Tom Clancy games on sale today. What has everyone been buying? I'm downloading the H.A.W.K. demo. Might buy the original just for some fly-around fun.

Was thinking about buying Vegas 1 and 2. But, I already have them for Xbox 360 and I have to stop buying games I already have on Steam.

Anybody want to go in with me on a copy of Frozen Synapse?

It's $20, but each sale includes 2 copies.

It's kind of a cool turn based strategy game.

Giant Bomb did a quick look - looks pretty cool:

    Here's the Steam page:

Let me know if anybody wants to split the $20. I think every copy includes a second key because it's a multiplayer focused game and they want to seed the game out there as much as they can.

Not my kind of game but I wanted to say that it does appear it's a "2-pack" so upon purchase you could "gift" the second copy to someone else. If you've never done it before Steam makes it quite easy.

I just bought 2 copies of H.A.W.K. for Buu and myself. First one I bought for myself. Second one I bought as a gift and immediately gifted it to Buu after purchase.

Yeah, I was just going to find somebody to give me $10 then I gift them the other copy. Or I give them the $10 and they gift me the copy. Whatever works.

and now for a quick break

    back on topic:
I was tempted by Total War: Shogun 2 on sale for $34 (vs $50) but couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger. I'm already over my budget

I found somebody to go in with me on Frozen Synapse and it's a pretty cool game.

Problem is that it coordinates everything through a central server and in the few hours that I've played the game, it's been down or super laggy.

    Re: Official Steam sale thread

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is on sale today, $19.99, normally $39.99

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (first one) is also on sale. $14.99, normally $29.99

I have MW1 for PC somewhere, but don't know where the DVD is. Also, bought MW2 for the Xbox because that was when I had all my Xbro friends and I wanted to play with them. Trying to fight the urge to buy both of these games just to add them to my Steam collection.

pass and pass. I like how activision thinks they can still charge a premium on old CoD games. It'd be like apple still charging 200$ for an original iPhone

Yeah, World at War is $30 on Steam and not on sale. WTF. That thing should be $10 now.
