Re: The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 thread

Well this may be good for us, it looks like EA might have shot itself in the foot by releasing all those BF3 videos because now MW3 is going to have larger and destructible environments. So this fall we will have to chose the better of the two or play both.
It's funny but I remember when the BC2 Vs MW2 comparison talk was going on, all the MW2 fan boys were downplaying the destructible environment in BC2... I wonder what they will say now?!?

Any chance of a desperately needed engine upgrade for MW3?

have sales shown any signs of slowing for this franchise? if not, then no, no updates. couple that with the fact that the game is hardware limited on consoles, they're going to milk the cod2 engine for as long as they can fill their money rakes.

Its not real, and you are right it is in fact the source engine. There are mod tools out for the source engine you know...

j/k I dont know this for a fact, but it does look like the Source engine to me.

yea, obviously we don't know if they're real or not, and its clearly an unfinished work in progress if it is. Still, if they're legit, its clear that they haven't put any real work in updating the graphics engine

Activision has confirmed indirectly that some of information leaked was real. Other information leaked wasn't real or was from stuff that the developers aren't going to use.

Re: The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 thread

If I want to play Modern Warfare 3 I can load up Modern Warfare 1, Modern Warfare 2 or Black Ops and have the exact same cookie cutter experience.

So no, I won't be buying this lameware garbage.

Looks pretty "epic", but thats probably the absolute very best they can do. I'm sure the gameplay experience and graphics will be no different from BLOPS, or MW2, or MW1, or WaW, or COD 3... lots of stuff blowing up, and your AI teammates basically leading you through an on-rails run and gun.

Do you all think MW3 will be a huge success with the console crowd? Or do you think they will say enough is enough already?
