Question Blast from the past - Biostar n750

Given the excellent pricing, I decided to update the old rig one more time. (With the exception of a flaky SATA 0 Port, it has been rock solid). I went for a C3 955BE (currently Oc'd to 3.6 at stock, but probably will end up at 3.8). I added 4 gig of the same memory and swapped in an OCZ Ag2 60gig SSD and WD 750 gig caviar black. Also switched to WIN 7 Pro.

For the most part this combo smokes However, just one issue. When I added the memory, I can't get it to run all sticks at 1066 without throwing memtest errors.

Anyone remember if you have to take the speed down to 800 when running all four banks?

first as a reminder, did you set the vdimm to factory spec for the 1066mhz?

i'd test each stick individually with men86 and testing each slot might also be a good idea.

Hadn't tried each slot separately ( first two work because I have had those for a long time). Did try taking it to 2.1v and then 2.2v (OCZ specs these at 2.1-2.2v) but they run fine at 1.9 at 800.

    I will play some more.

    Thanks.

Unhappy Re: Blast from the past - Biostar n750

Its not looking good for these at 1066. No matter what I try, I can't get all 4 at 1066. Any of you others out there actually run 4 x 1066 modules in the board?

Blast from the past? It's not that old I still run one as my main computer!

Great Board. I never use 4 sticks of memory, sorry there.

Re: Blast from the past - Biostar n750

Yea I have the 2t rate set. I love this board. With new 955BE, 8 gig, a new SSD and fast HD, and a pair of GTX 460s in SLI and she takes all I can throw at her! I was just hoping to get all 4 sticks at 1066

By the way, I saw a couple of weeks ago that the Biostar Ebay store had brand new N750 boards, but they were gone before I could snarf a couple.
