    Re: New PC BSOD HELP?

Ok had to post that quick since it's been blue screen of deathing shortly after windows completely loads. This is a brand new PC just assembled. Ran great days 1-3 now today it's just randomly acting up.

Started this morning when it just completely froze while surfing the internet. No mouse movement anything. Rebooted and everything worked fine. Shut it down went to work and now this. Windows loads I can start doing stuff then it just BSOD's. Argg..

** I have no idea how to open the DMP files. There's 4 of them sofar from today **

Could you enter your system information into the space for that in your User CP then enable viewing of it? Or could you make a detailed signature listing all of your parts? This will help others answer this and future questions, and you only need to do it once. As an example of the level of detail we need, you can click on my system dropdown or look at some of the other signatures you see here. Thanks.

sounds like driver issues to me

Added. Also sorry I clicked on this forum, meant to put it in the Windows forum. Was in a hurry since I was trying to post before BSOD.

ALSO something very odd to note. After the first BSOD when the computer first started Steam asked me to re-validate my computer???? Yet NOTHING on the system had changed and I had already done this verification on day 1.

I assume you're using the latest graphics card driver.

Yup whatever the latest was from Nvidia. Sofar I've been 3 hours stable. Played at least an hour of Black Ops and what not. Soo confused.

Sometimes Windows gives up random blue screen errors. Don't worries about it too much if it's a one out of the blue and not repeatable. Report it by error message report on reboot if it allows. Perhaps it will be fixed.

Well it blue screened again today. Upon reboot windows had this message (it's said this before this is the first time I was able to copy/paste it).

Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown.

    Re: New PC BSOD HELP?

I suspect a part or less likely, parts are defective if BSOD's keep occuring. Then may have to replace parts one by one with a known good part to test.

chdsk the hard drive, memory test first, update windows and all drivers, if you don't know how to do can ask me, after that, consider replacing hardware

Ok chkdsk "Windows has checked the file system and found no problems."

Going to go through and update all the drivers now.
