You're welcome. I edited post my last post above for a little more assistance.
this is what most of us use. one that i'm more familiar with.
http://www.memtest.org/
this applies to all memory. maybe a bit out dated but should hold true to errors during each test #.

what memory are you using? link would be great!![]()
you may have to manually set the factory settings in the bios.

In my experience Kingston RAM is very reliable, Corsair's fine if you get the right RAM stick or sticks. I'm still learning about g.skill however it seems to be fine with good sticks and motherboard that work properly. Whatever works and is fast and reliable. Could be another brand and speed of RAM. Be sure to look at the memory compatibility list for your motherboard, usually listed within the details of the motherboard in your motherboard manufacturers web site to find memory that has been tested to work properly with your motherboard. It's not totally necessary to select RAM in this list however it makes selecting the right RAM that's stable or reliable to be more certain potentially.
i would go with a 2x4gig set rather than 3x2gig set.
some sticks are tuned for intel and intel is the only ones running 3 stick on some boards. just a thought.

Ah I see that so definately staying with a 2 stick set. I did find this:

Only thing is the speed. Will that be an issue?

well the rip jaws are listed at the biostar site.

side note: you mentioned that you hadn't oc'd anything. are you intending to?

Well I spent a good majority of my budget on the build now. Was actually going to use the left over to buy a video card once I get my refund for the GTX550. So I'm rocking the stock cooler for now. I would like to OC my 925 to around 965 speeds or better since my old rig had a 965.
Is there something I should look for if I do plan to do some light overclocking?
Thank you for posting that list!! Looking at it they specifically call out this memory as 100% compatible:

Opinions? It looks very very nice!! OH and its got GREAT feedback LOL

it's highly recommended to put heatsinks on the mosfets and have good air flow.
here's a source.

these will fit the side by side ones and you'll have to figure what will fit the single ones.

Where exactly would I place them on here:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ImageG...%20Motherboard
??
they are in the area left of the cpu backet and above the atx socket. there appears to be 3 sets of 3 and possibly at the top of the board is another set. i couldn't find a good picture to post.
the top pic is of another board but shows you what they look like.

also couldn't hurt to position a fan blowing on or at them.

If I were searching for new RAM I would look at standard raw mhz speeds and TIGHT timings, especially lower then average cmd rate..... Gonna be expensive though.
