    Noob question: Prime95

What is a pass or fail on Prime95. I just let it run for 8 hours when im testing and if it doesn't stop does that mean it passed?

Yes. If it fails, the run stops and it puts up a big red sign.

24 hours is the typical time for a clean considerable pass in prime

I'm pretty n00b as well. Thought to point out I didn't understand how to recognize Prime95 FAIL at first.

I naively thought if the window was still open and no pop-up errors were visible everything was swell. Actually, now I think I need to check what threads continue to run and look for errors on the individual windows of each thread. For example, I started 8 threads and all 8 had stopped after an hour due to errors but I thought this was 12 hours of SUCESS! (Oh, the humiliation!

You probably already understand this, but just in case...
