    Phenom 8750BE Overclocked info

    Howdy all,
I have lurked here for several years and post once in awhile.
I have been running my 8750BE at stock speeds for some time.
I read some various posts here and on another site and I got the OC bug again.

I have done many OC in the past with AMD, from the K-II up. KIII was fun too. Of course following the process.......

    This time......
DO NOT try this at home...... lol

I just cranked it up per a spec someone did in their long log of worked and no work list.

I set the 15X and 1.35 volts 200FSB and so far so good at 3.0gHz ---- on my stock OEM cooler. I have not stress tested yet with Prime 95 64bit. I am idling at 46C. When booting and cpu use was up it tipped up to 54-57C. I am afraid stress test will top over 60C.

This afterenoon I have a CPU COOLER XIGMATEK| HDT-S1284F R arriving from newegg. This puppy is big. Once I get it hooked up tonight I will stress test and post my temps.

Thanks for reading, if you did.........

    UPS came early.

My idle temps dropped from 46 to 42. Now you need to know I am in the USA southwest and it is 106F outside and I have evaporative house cooling NOT a/c. Right now it is 90F room temp. This morning my room temp was 75F and idle 46........ So now 90F room temp and 42C idle is good. I will check it tomorrow morning......

Now the Prime 95 stress test was interesting. I ran it for about 30 mins. Very Stable, no errors. The temp touched 63C at one point and the big 120mm fan on the new heat sink went to high and it dropped to 61C. Remember my room temp is 90F. I feel this is pretty good for 600mHz increase on each core (3.0ghz) verses the stock 2.4 and just a boost from 1.25 core volts to 1.35. Not bad. I will perhaps try higher.......

I pretty much gave up OCing CPUs for now till I can afford phase change cooling

I still tinker around with video cards though, they can take heat.
