thats some nice progress speaking from experience, yes it slows down quite a bit, even when you're cranking out a lot of points!

I remember when I got onto the first page, I think it took me something like 4 years to do so! But then, that was back when a 650pt WU was a big one and took 2 days to fold Good times, and I suspect quite a few of our defunct front-pagers are from those days.

I did, my new i7-970, but since the points realignment I don't believe he has much to worry about.. and my spikey output means that I may have been able to, at my high water marks overcome his lowest averages.. but the way EOC calculates PPD averages would have meant that we'd only ever be trading blows. I think my new max theoretical is something like 300k (200k + 75k + 25k)

if only the 970 is now running 24/7 and its only been in comission for about a week. Took me way too long bringing it up because I was moving. The 350k units are the bigbeta's and take 4.5+ days on the 970 even taking that long they're still worth 75k ppd!

EDIT: NVM. Didn't realise the I7 970 was a hex core. That would explain why I can't get those units and all of that wonderful PPD.

Time to do a bit of OC'ing and get it around 4ghz. Not going to push too much farther as I don't want to play games with stability.
