There are indeed adapters, $20 or so.
You can also grab some tips from here.
Thanks for the tip link. Does anyone have a cable make / model recommendation?
Is there a reason the Intel 310 series was recommended on the leader board instead of say the 320 series. Same price and capacity. I just purchased most of the high end system components to get a build ready for BF3. All the packages arrived and I'm ready to start building when I realize I have no way to connect it to the motherboard. I'm thinking of sending it back and getting the 320 series instead of trying to find an adapter or cable and having this little bare circuit board dangling in my case.
I'm not trying to be too critical as I love the site and should have payed more attention when ordering the part but a little note on the recommendation about needing a special cable to connect to the motherboard would have saved me and possibly others a lot of time.
Well, I just did the same thing. I basically bought the high end system with an Antec 900 case. I wasn't looking too closely and assumed the little SSD (I got the 80G) would fit on the motherboard somewhere. I actually thought Newegg had forgotten to ship it it's so tiny.
Anyway I've seen this :

and this:

I was hoping to find something from a company I had heard of before though.
I will clear that up in the leaderboard, since two people seem to have had the same question. I might also switch the board to one that does have a place to put the Intel drive, though that does raise the price and makes the mobo layout a little funky.
My thinking was that the bare drive is much smaller and easier to hide than the 320 with casing. If you get the casing then you will also be hunting down a 2.5" to 3.5" bracket and use up a slot on your HDD cage. With the bare card you have to get the mSATA adapter but have the choice as to whether you want to use up a slot on your HDD cage or not.
Thanks for reading and I hope you are both enjoying your new rigs.
