So what happen with DFI? I remember hearing first they went out of buisness. Then I hear somewhere that DFI is still manufacturing boards but under Sapphire brand.
Has Sapphire bought out DFI or something?

No, they only carry 2 AMD mobos,1 micro atx and 1 atx. Both 780 series industrial. All under DFI brand.
What pisses me off is you cant even access any old bios from their new revamped website. Its like all my mobos never existed.
Im just going back to Asrock.

I was looking into info on this new sapphire mobo I bought since my old DFI 790FX was destroyed.
I dont remember where I read it but I heard that this sapphire board and all other amd chipset sapphires are indeed being made by DFI just rebranded as sapphires now

Interesting if that's true.
Still miss my NF4 Ultra-D and all the tweaking I was able to do with it.I'd like to mount it on the wall, but the missus isn't quite on board with that idea.

sort of sad, many ethusiasts board makers went bye-bye...i miss abit, bought many of their boards, as with epox and soyo. never had a dfi though

Any idea at all where to find BIOS file? Anybody have the latest 3.07 Bios for update?
Here try this link to see of your model is listed.

I too miss abit, and EpoX. I am still running 2 Abit boards and 1 EpoX board. All Socket a systems.

Epox was definitely my "go to" mobo maker for the first few years I built computers. They were totally unbeatable price/features wise. From their it was Abit until they left, and from there it's now Biostar. Although I can tell Biostar is on their way out now as well. Their lineup right now for the Z68 chipset is not nearly as complete as it should be.
Kbohip try asrock. My sons friend is still using the sata II I built for my Wife years ago,Rock solid and dependable.Plus it had the opti 148 running at 3.0 g.
My current mobo has the sata 6,usb 3.0,etc.Running 4 WD 1t drives and 3 dvd rw, 1090t@3.8g,4.1 turbo. Love it.
