Computer boots at repair shop not at home

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My cousin has a XP machind with all patches applied.
The problem is the computer will not boot.
It starts to boot then shuts down.
She took to to two repair shops where it booted fine at both shops. Each time she took it home it booted once and then it would not boot up again.
Both shops told her she has a electrical broblem at her house.
Everything else in the home work fine TV etc.
Does any one have any input on this situation as it would be greatly appreciated Thank You

Did she plug it into the same cord and surge protector at home? Have her try a different cord and outlet and see if the issue still appears... It's possible that something is going bad hence the first boot at both places, but if it stays on and plugged in for a while doesn't boot anymore.

Well you figured out how to insert a spam hyperlink in your sig so I think you'll be good to go on that XP install.
