Has anyone tried out the new LHC@Home BOINC project? It seems interesting enough; however, it gets too darn hot here at this time of year to be hammering my computer

I just added the project today. I read about it on their page and it seemed pretty cool and applicable to real research. They have a pretty good write up about why the projects important.

The two work units i got from them today are quite large compared to the seti and milky way ones i'm used to.
