I've had my custom computer for about a year now and nothing has gone wrong(Except that the motherboard was defective when I received it) but now I decided to upgrade my ram stick from ADATA gaming series DDR3-1600 (2x2gb) to Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 (2x4gb). I had a lot of troubles with setting it up. It either ran at 1333mhz or there was only 4 out of 8 gb available. In addition, the computer sometimes didn't start but now it always starts and I've successfully gotten it to 7.5gb available out of 8gb and at 1600mhz but there is still some problems.
I got it to work without any flaws after a bit of restarts but this weird effect always comes after a while or it is even sometimes in the start up of the computer. In the darker black shades I get weird blue flashing pixels and sometimes when I have a white background, there are weird yellow stripes.
I took a picture of this. Does anyone recognize it?
(And yes, I've checked if the RAM Is compatible with my system. It is. I've always tried updating everything pretty much except BIOS which I do not want to do without technical support via phone. And as far as I am concerned, all the settings with the motherboard bios is default/auto in regards to the memory)
New RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145346 (I bought this in a package of two)
System speccs:
windows 7 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 760 (4x 2.8Ghz)
RAM: (Check the link above)
Motherboard: P55A-UD4P
Graphics Card: GTX 470 (And I do believe that the graphics card is not the problem even though that mox weird pixels are associated with a malfunctioning graphics card. But since that the first time I started the computer with the new ram, the blue pixel effect was there, but, after a couple of times, it was gone but now it always appears at start up.)
-- I do not know how to add pictures to this so I'll do a tinypic --
If anyone can repost the picture here it would be greatly appreciated!
