Oh dear. There's a blast from the past.

Is TAS even available on DVD? I read that DC Fontana wrote a lot of the TAS episodes and considers them canon. It's just that cartoons of that vintage are generally so awful.

I've heard that TAS was actually pretty good. I've never seen it, but the animation looks good for the time.

I do intend to check it out one day as it is only 22 episodes.

Interesting. Amazon really looks to be amping up Amazon Instant Video to compete with Netflix.

I vaguely remember watching TAS as a kid. As I recall, the animation was about as good (or bad, LOL) as the special effects of TOS. The acting was also about the same "quality". In the humble estimation of this (then 5 to 6 y/o), it couldn't hold a candle to Underdog, but it was still good at the time. Keep in mind, we only got 3 channels back then . . . 4 on a good day.

I finally made to season 5 of DS9. It is actually a good series if you skip all of the Bajoran talky talk episodes.
A typical DS9 episode consists of:
Blah blah blah, Bajorans, blah blah blah, oppressed people. Blah blah blah. Those mean Cardassians! Blah blah blah, The Prophets, the Emissary, etc. etc.

If it weren't for so many of these Bajoran •••••••• episodes. DS9 could have been a great series.

Once I finish DS9, I'll have to check out TAS.
