Important game installation info (updated 9/6/11 10:30 PM ET)

I've updated the UT2004 Required files post. Be sure to download all the "mandatory" files. Note that the install order is important.

    1. Install the base game
    2. Install the 3369 patch
    3. Install Community Bonus pack #1
    4. Install Community Bonus pack #2
    5. Install Editor's Choice (aka ECE) pack
    6. Reinstall the 3369 patch (*important*)

We will also be playing a bombing run map called Fragball Stadium but it's very small so everyone will just download it automatically from the server.

The first matter of business is we need to decide which add-ons & map packs we will use. Everyone will need to install whatever we decide in advance to avoid a painfully slow download from my server.

These are the files we have used in the past. Right now the only requirement is the latest 3369 game patch. The map packs are currently optional but we should discuss if we want to make any of them required. There certainly are some good maps in those map packs.

I don't have a link for Fragball Stadium yet because there seem to be MANY versions floating around the net. I have it on my PC so worst case we will just host that some place where everyone can download it.

I updated all the links in the UT2004 Required Files post so finding them isn't a problem. Believe or not CNET now hosts most of what we need.

So are we thinking go for the bonus packs? I mean everything is under 500 MB which is really nothing these days with 10+ GB games.
