PSU went bad-New Psu=no boot/ post pls help

I know My build is very old but just want any help, I have a lot of pics etc that I'd like to recover. Please any suggestions welcome, short story is -
I came back from a long vacation, pc was all dead no lights power, and one exhaust fan had frozen. tested psu, which was bad and I rma-d. (ocz 550w). Got new PSU, installed it, everything powers up turns on but PC wont boot, no video signal, no post. No beep codes, all leds that usually alternately flashing during post stay on.
Things I've tried: clearing cmos, reseating ram and gpu. alternating ram sticks/slots, booting with no GPU/RAM. tried cleaning and blowing out dust, unplugging and plugging back in power connections. My monitor seems working displays menus etc. No burnt or damaged appearing capacitors or components anywhere, gpu, hdd power on. Any Advice? Being a quality PSU I dont think it would have killed other components but I could use any help anyone could offer.
Thanks all, really appreciate any replies.
PS--I have my next system planned out, I think my old PC must have found out somehow and plotted against me...

Double check that the motherboard power connectors are tight?

Thanks for the replies. Tested the battery-its good and checked rechecked all connections. Just wont post. Anyone know if a psu failure could have corrupt the bios? I'm wondering if it's worth trying a new bios chip. Doing some reading I've heard about "4 leds of death" on these old motherboards- meaning the 4 leds being on points to a corrupt bios. thx all.
