Dual vs single Channel

Hi,

I made a benchmark test to compare single and dual channel. I looked at the results and noticed that what changes the most is the writing results. And what changed the less is the Read CACHED. Why are they so?

This is the problem with benchmarks -- they don't tell the entire story; suffice it to say, the difference between dual channel and single channel is the bus width is doubled (64bits x 2 = 128bit). This allows (key word) for more bandwidth to travel to and from memory; however, it is up to the application to utilize it.

Keep in mind too, your read and write latencies are probably not the same, so one will normally perform better.
